2025 U7s ADVANCE TRAINING SYSTEM
TERM 1: PROGRESS & COMPETITION
In Term 1 of 2025, players in the advance program will build upon the foundational skills developed in the basic program. Additionally, they will be introduced to 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 game scenarios to enhance their tactical awareness and decision-making.
TERM 2: POSITION & DEVELOPMENT
In Term 2 of 2025, our academy coaches will evaluate each player's training performance to determine and assign their most suitable positions. Additionally, players will begin specialised technical skills training tailored to their designated roles, ensuring focused development and growth.
TERM 3: SKILL & IMPACT
In Term 3 of 2025, players will refine their skills within their assigned positions, focusing on one to two key roles for specialised development. They will continue advancing their technical skills training while being introduced to positional play.
TERM 4: SELECTION & PREPARATION
In Term 4 of 2025, our primary focus will be on team selection and preparation for the start of 2026 January tournament. Our coaches will assess player performance and select the most suitable individuals for the Footballnet Academy U8s tournament squad, ensuring a competitive and well-prepared team.
SUMMARY
By completing our U7s ADVANCE PROGRAM, players will experience a year of focused growth, refining their technical skills, enhancing fitness, and developing tactical awareness through structured training such as 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 competitive play. Throughout the year, players will improve core skills, refine positional techniques, and gain valuable match experience.
By the end of the program, top performing players will be well-prepared for competitive play with the U8s Footballnet Academy tournament squad. Players will be adapted to progress into our U8s ADVANCE PROGRAM, where the emphasis will be on enhancing technical skills and deepening football theory knowledge in preparation for the U9s FNSW JDL (SAP) trials.
